Forged ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Forged mobile application (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and password.
Profile Information: You may choose to provide additional information such as life contexts (e.g., father, husband, leader) to personalize your experience.
Journal Entries: Content you write in the journal feature is stored securely and is only accessible to you.
Saved Scriptures: Verses you highlight or save are stored in your account.
Brotherhood Information: If you join or create a Brotherhood group, we store your group membership and messages you send within the group.

Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, including which features you access, your progress through daily content, and completion streaks.
Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for app functionality and troubleshooting.
Approximate Location: If you enable the Brotherhood Map feature, we collect your approximate location to show you nearby brothers. This location is intentionally "fuzzed" (randomized within a radius) to protect your exact location. You can disable this feature at any time.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the App
Personalize your daily content based on your life contexts
Track your spiritual journey progress and streaks
Enable Brotherhood features including group messaging and the Brotherhood Map
Send you push notifications (daily reminders, messages from brothers) if you've opted in
Process subscription payments through our payment provider
Respond to your requests or questions
Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

With Your Consent

When you join a Brotherhood group, your display name and approximate location (if enabled) are visible to other group members.

Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party companies to help us operate the App, including providers for:

Database and authentication services
Subscription and payment processing
App distribution (Apple App Store, Google Play Store)
Push notification delivery

These providers only access your information as needed to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect it.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time from the Profile > Settings screen in the App. This will permanently delete all your data including journal entries, saved scriptures, and Brotherhood memberships.

5. Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Update

You can access and update your account information at any time through the App's Profile settings.

Delete Your Account

You can delete your account and all associated data from Profile > Settings > Delete Account.

Push Notifications

You can enable or disable push notifications in your device settings or within the App.

Location

You can enable or disable location sharing for the Brotherhood Map in your device settings or within the App.

California Residents

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request deletion of your data.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Effective Date" above. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
